InteractivePickup DCR AnalyzerCompare a passive pickup resistance reading with an entered reference and optionally correct a known parallel volume-pot load.InteractivePotentiometer Taper AnalyzerCompare a measured pot sweep with linear, audio-reference, and reverse-audio reference curves.InteractiveSelector Switch Contact MapperTurn continuity readings from an unpowered switch into a position-by-position contact map.InteractiveCable & Guitar Ground Continuity CheckerEvaluate measured cable conductors, cross-conductor isolation, bridge ground, and movement change against an entered continuity threshold.

How to use the Electrical test bench bench

Begin with every guitar, component, and cable disconnected from powered equipment. Verify resistance or continuity mode, record the shorted-probe baseline, and name the exact probe points before interpreting a value.

Choose the right starting point

Use pickup DCR for a source-coil comparison, pot taper for a rotation sweep, selector mapping for physical contact truth, and cable/ground continuity for low-resistance path checks. Each solves a different measured question.

This category contains 4 focused tools. Read each page’s preparation and limitation sections before entering values, then follow only the related workflow that resolves the next uncertainty.

Evidence standard

Preserve the raw display, range, meter model, temperature, control and switch position, probe points, and known parallel paths. Repeat an unexpected result before moving to a different test.

  1. Preserve the starting condition.
  2. Change or test one variable.
  3. Retune or reset the test condition.
  4. Repeat the same measurement.
  5. Record remaining uncertainty.

When to stop

Stop when evidence conflicts, a datum is unclear, hardware reaches a limit, or the next step becomes structural, energized, or irreversible. A qualified technician can inspect conditions that browser inputs cannot represent.
